Be a Lender and Not a Borrower

If you have ever read the bible, then you know that God made a promise to Abraham. As descendants of Abraham, we have an inheritance that we are entitled to as heirs of Abraham. One thing that God wants for us is to be lenders and not borrowers. But if you look around in the current state of our economy, you will see that many of us have become borrowers when we should really be lenders. So with that in mind, the following are some ways to get you back on the right side of God’s inheritance for you.

Stop Using Your Credit Card

Credit cards are not good; it’s not to say that they are the devil, but credit cards are rarely used in the capacity in which they should be. People often use them to purchase things from stores that they really can’t afford. However, with the AccountNow Prepaid Visa, you don’t have to worry about spending money you don’t have. You load the card with real money and spend it like real money because that’s exactly what it is. This way, you also don’t have to worry about checking your MyFico.com or Equifax.com scores and be concerned about your credit because you didn’t pay your bill on time.

Only Buy What You Need Until You Are Out of Debt

Most people in this country have a problem with shopping. People shop all day every day, they spend their free time in malls, surfing the internet for more things to buy, watching The Shopping Channel on television, purchasing things you never knew existed, and get emails throughout the day notifying them of various new items and sales at e-commerce website. So what you need to do is stop shopping and stay away from places that cause you to shop. If your right hand causes you to sin then cut it off; in other words, stay away from things that cause you to shop and spend money unnecessarily. If you need something then that’s a different case, but remember you should only buy what you need!

Save, Save, Save!

Saving is the only way to build wealth and it’s crucial if you ever want to have it. It’s something that the rich and wealthy practice, but that the poor never seem to master. Every extra penny that comes into your possession should be saved. Every dollar that you can spare should be saved. When you get a raise or come into some extra money, don’t increase your lifestyle; instead, put the incremental difference in savings. You will be surprised at how much you are able to save if you do this.

If you can do all of these things, you will be sure to be more than a borrower; you will be a lender.
