Over 2000 years ago, there was a woman named Mary and a man named Joseph who were traveling to Bethlehem on a camel. Mary was pregnant, and they were both poor. They stopped at several inns to get a room for the night but all the inns were booked and there were no vacancies especially for two poor people who had to money for a room. They were finally able to get room in a stable next to animals of all kind. It was then that Mary went into labor and would give birth to the Son of Man, the Lamb of God, the Christ, the Messiah, and his name would be Jesus. Wise men, shepherds, and angels came from every direction to worship and adore this wonderful child. Gifts of gold, frankenscence and myrrh were placed at his feet as gifts to him and his family. Jesus would be the greatest man to ever walk the face of the earth. He would be the bridge for mankind to walk across to get into heavan and receive eternal life.
This is why we give gifts at Christmas time. Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice of his life so that we might have the gift of salvation. We give each other gifts to remind each other of the gift that Jesus gave to us all. So many people celebrate Christmas without knowing or understanding this fact. Christmas is truly a holiday for Christians, followers of Christ, though the salvation of man is extended to all who believe in him. So don’t get caught up in all the gift giving and commercial frenzy that Christmas has become. Simply remember that Jesus was the ultimate gift and He is the Reason For the Season. Merry Christmas!

Have you ever heard the saying “Lukewarm for Christ”? Well if you haven’t it means that you are in the middle between being a full-fledged believer and a non-believer. You cannot be lukewarm for Christ: either you are hot for Christ or cold for Christ. And let me tell you, you don’t want to be cold for Christ. We celebrate him this holiday season for being the ultimate sacrifice for mankind. It is because of the gift of salvation that he gives us that we exchange gifts on Christmas; it is a way of reminding us all of the ultimate price he paid for our sins. So as we go forth in the season to buy gifts for the ones that we love, remember that now is the time to be saving money. The idea of saving money should not be taken lightly. You may not want to do the work that it requires to get the best deals, but it is worth the time. Collections Etc. for example is one of the best places to find Christmas gifts for less thatn $14.99.

Before every meal, you should be saying grace; and before you go buy anything you should be saying, “great deal”. Now is such an awesome time to find great deals and bargains on all the name brand, and non-name brand items that you want. Retailers are cutting prices and offering you deals of a lifetime. So, if you are about to buy something and you aren’t thinking to yourself, “Man, I’m getting this for a steal,” then you shouldn’t be purchasing it. Chances are that there is another item, either the exact same item or a slight variation of the item availble for a cheaper price somewhere else. For example, if you are looking for designer shoes, don’t settle for the prices that Macys, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue have offer. Shop online at Masseys shoes. They offer everything in shoes for less, saving you not onlly time, but money too.
Additionally, stores like Maryland Square do the same thing. Thanks to the internet, you never have to guess at the prices at which stores are selling their merchandise. You can easily to price comparisons before you ever step foot outside of your home. In addition, for online stores that don’t have a brick and mortar location, you can go to traditional stores, try on your designer gear to ensure that you are getting the right sizing and go back home and order online for less. So make sure again, that before you are buying anything, you can honestly say that you’re getting a great deal, otherwise you are passing up on God’s financial blessings for you!

It is in times like these that we must thank God for each and every blessing. Every morning when we wake up, we are given the blessing of another day. If you are able to get out of bed walking, you are blessed; if you are able to take a warm shower, you are blessed; if you have toothpaste and a toothbrush, you are blessed; if you have clean clothes to put on you are blessed. There is just an abundance of things that we all have to be thankful for everyday; as it says in the bible, “a thousand tongues would not be enough to say thank you”. And yet God continues to bless us by sending us opportunities to save money! This holiday season, everyone knows that money will be tight; so God has inspired big companies like Collections Etc, to not only give good deals, but to give great ones. It is a mutually beneficial blessing, because in return for lower prices, companies are getting more revenue, which they need in order to stay in business.
Companies like Medifast are offering better deals than ever before on their products so now is the time to take advantage. Prices won’t be this low again for a long time (let us pray because that isn’t a good sign) so it’s important that you take advantage of these deals before they are gone. Of course I am only speaking to those that have the money to spend. Obviously if you don’t, now is the time for you to be saving your money period.

We all know that it is the Christian way to tell everyone about Jesus; it’s one of our Christian duties to do so. We are not only supposed to tell them but show them through our daily actions. But you should also share the good news about coupons and savings to as many of your neighbors as possible! There are all sorts of sales going on right now at both Gap and Old Navy, which are great places to buy jeans, basic t-shirts, collared shirts, blazers, dress pants, slacks, undergarments and so much more!
In the economic times that we are living in it is important to save as much money as possible to make ends meet wherever we can. As the saying goes, a penny saved is a penny earned. And Gap and Old Navy will make sure that you save plenty of money on clothing this season for the entire family. Remember, Jesus cared about everyone and so should you. Little things like helping people save money are great ways to show people kindness, which is something Jesus definitely taught to us all!

While Time Magazine has boldly declared that the recession is over, we all know that the effects of the recession have not yet ended. It is still time to save money and build reserves so that you can ensure that your family is protected against any financial troubles that may come your way. With that in mind, it will be extremely important to utilize coupons on every item you can. Clip coupons from the newspaper, look for great deals online, shop sales only, and at the grocery store switch from brand names to off brands, whenever those are cheaper. Every little bit helps when time are rough and a dollar saved here and there can really make a difference.
More on to the positive though. The good news is that someone is finally saying that this recession is over which will mean that in the future things should look better for us all! President Obama is definitely making sure that not only are we prepared for the future, but our children as well, with his speech yesterday to our nation’s youth about education. Education is definitely the key to the continued success of our nation!
